What is an instructor's category?+
Ski and snowboard instructor categories vary in skill level, training, and experience. For example, entry-level instructors (Cat. C, B-basic or Level I, II) typically work with beginners, teaching basic skills, while instructors at higher levels (Cat. B, A or Level III, IV) may teach advanced techniques and prepare athletes for competitions.
How are the lessons conducted?+
The lesson usually begins with an introduction and a short warm-up. The instructor evaluates your current level and builds the lesson based on your goals. During training, they will help you overcome fear, demonstrate correct technique, select effective exercises, and provide recommendations for further development.
What is NOT included in the cost of the lesson?+
The price does not include:
  • Ski pass
  • Transfers to the resort
  • Rental equipment
  • Food and drinks
Where is the meeting point with the instructor?+
You will be able to discuss the meeting point with the instructor after booking. In New Gudauri, it is usually located near the ticket office at the lower gondola station (Goodaura). For full-day VIP lessons, the instructor can meet you at your hotel or rental shop.
What if I'm late for the lesson?+
The lesson may have to be canceled as the instructor has a fixed schedule. Please arrive at the meeting point in advance, accounting for possible delays. If you are running late, please notify us or your instructor.
How many lessons do I need to ski confidently?+
On average, it takes 2 to 4 hours of practice to start skiing confidently on green slopes. Progress depends on your goals, physical fitness, current level, and equipment.
What if our group has different skill levels?+
For safety reasons, the instructor will focus on the weakest student in the group. We recommend that all participants have approximately the same level of skiing/snowboarding.
What should I bring to the lesson?+
  • Ski clothing: jacket and trousers, fleece, balaclava/buff, thermal underwear, long socks, gloves
  • Equipment: skis, boots, poles, helmet (available for rent)
  • Ski goggles or sunglasses
  • Sunscreen and lip balm
Do I need insurance?+
Skiing and snowboarding are extreme sports that can lead to injuries. While the instructor prioritizes your safety, we strongly recommend purchasing health insurance for yourself and your child.
What if my instructor is sick?+
If this happens, we will find another instructor for you. If that's not possible, we will refund your payment.

By making a booking with SkiSchool.ge you agree to the terms and conditions listed below.

Insurance

Participation in any of activities does not include insurance. SkiSchool.ge strongly recommends having a valid accident insurance which covers skiing and snowboarding in all conditions, including off-piste and beyond the marked routes. Skischool.ge does not accept any responsibility in the case of an accident that occurs during any lesson!

Payment

All rates in US Dollars (USD). A down payment of 20% is required at the time of the pre-booking to secure a reservation (unless otherwise arranged).The remainder of the balance must be paid before the beginning of the first class to the instructor by cash (USD or GEL). Skischool.ge reserves the right to cancel any session if payment is not settled in full before the beginning of the first class.

Cancellation Policy

Any pre-booking may be canceled or modified free of charge up to 48 hours prior to the start of the lessons. For any modification or cancellation less than 48 hours prior to the start of the lessons the amount of down payment will be held back as cancellation fee. Also, no refund will be given by Skischool.ge, in whole or in part, for unused lessons due to client late arrival, illness, accident, resort closure due to the weather conditions or mechanical failure, or for any other cause outside the control of the Skischool.ge
